Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Heidelberg Materials Polska Digital Hub Wroclaw is seeking a proactive specialist to manage and support business applications used across Europe, AMWA and APAC. You will act as the first contact for users, drive incidents and changes, and support rollouts to new sites.
Build AI-assisted development solutions and low-code tools, document handovers, and maintain LeanIX runbooks. Strong English skills and Excel/PowerPoint are required.
Join the new Heidelberg Materials Digital Hub Wroclaw and help build an international team that takes care of business applications used across our countries. You are the bridge between business users and IT: you keep applications running, users supported and rollouts on track. At one of the world’s largest building materials companies, you’ll gain insight into logistics, manufacturing and finance, work with experts worldwide and learn by taking ownership of topics end to end. You’ll help bring fragmented local application support into a shared service that is scalable, professional and cost-efficient, improving service quality and consistency while reducing duplication. Along the way, you’ll build the skills, network and track record to pursue opportunities in application management, business process management, digital transformation or technology-enabled operations—with the scale and variety of a global company opening up different career paths.
Run your application portfolio. Take ownership of selected business applications used in Europe, AMWA and APAC, from vendor solutions to locally developed tools. Support users. Be the first contact for users from different countries and functions, by phone, online and via tickets. Understand the issue, give guidance, solve it or route it to the right team (e.g. an invoicing error, a missing user access, a dispatch system outage). Drive incidents, requests and changes. Follow each topic from request to resolution. Prioritise, coordinate with vendors, local IT and global teams, and keep users informed. Roll out and migrate. Support rollouts to new sites and countries and the move from local to global solutions: testing new releases, onboarding users, writing documentation and supporting go-live. Build solutions with AI. Design and build solutions and tools with AI-assisted development and low-code to close gaps in applications and meet recurring user needs, and grow your skills step by step as part of the AI Builders Initiative. Learn new processes fast. Get up to speed quickly on areas such as order-to-cash, logistics, dispatch, plant operations, laboratory and compliance, and on the applications behind them. Document and hand over. Maintain application documentation in LeanIX, runbooks and clear handovers, so knowledge does not depend on single people. Improve our services. Spot recurring issues, fix root causes and help set consistent ways of working in a new shared capability. Travel. Occasional travel within Europe, about one trip every three months at most.
University degree in Business Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration (IT or operations focus), Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a comparable field, with good grades. Early-career profile with motivation shown through relevant student jobs and internships. Excellent communication skills, confident on the phone and online with users from plant operators to senior management. User-oriented and pragmatic, with a hands‑on, can‑do mentality and end‑to‑end ownership of results. Strong analytical skills, structured prioritisation and root‑cause problem solving. Quick and flexible learner of new processes, applications and tools. Ability to work effectively in international environments, with colleagues and users from more than 30 countries. Good MS Excel and PowerPoint skills. English at B2–C1 level, written and spoken.
Nice to have: Experience with ServiceNow, Jira or LeanIX.
Experience building small solutions and tools with AI‑assisted development (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Codex, Cursor) or low‑code (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Power Apps), for example from studies, student jobs or personal projects. Experience in manufacturing companies or software firms and start‑ups. German, French or Italian; further languages are welcome.
