Job summary

UL LLC in Warszawa is seeking a Project Engineer specializing in evaluation and certification of Switching Device Elements. You will manage certification projects from inception to completion, coordinating with laboratories, customers and a global network to ensure compliance with UL/IEC/EN standards.

You will travel occasionally, interact with clients, prepare quotations, and contribute to test program design and documentation to support product safety and market access across Europe.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with UL/IEC/EN 61010-2-201 and UL/IEC/EN 60947-4-1/-4-2/-5-1/-5-2/5-5 standards.
• Strong understanding of electrical or electronic products, industrial control systems, drives, automation equipment or power electronics.
• Excellent project management and customer communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer locations and test facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage certification projects from inception to completion, including defining scope, timelines, budgets, and testing requirements.
• Support sales with technical reviews, customer inquiries and quotations.
• Act as the primary customer contact through the certification process.
• Review designs against UL/IEC/EN standards.
• Establish test programs by analyzing technical documentation and requirements.
• Coordinate all stages of project execution and milestones.
• Plan, witness and evaluate electrical, mechanical and environmental tests.
• Visit customer sites in Europe to conduct or witness testing and provide technical support.
• Communicate progress, outcomes and compliance findings to customers.
• Identify non-compliance issues and propose practical solutions.
• Prepare technical reports and certification documentation.
• Support continuous improvement and new testing approaches.
• Collaborate with laboratory teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
