Capgemini is seeking a Tax & Statutory Global Process Owner in Kraków, Poland. This role requires an expert with extensive knowledge of tax regulations across Europe and EMEA. You will be responsible for leading strategic planning, product development, and enhancing Tax processes.

Your role

As a Tax & Statutory Global Process Owner you will create a business platform from which we will be able to deliver next generation’s innovations, generate business volume and value through Best In Class processes and automation and develop high-level business relations. As an innovator and master in your domain, you will be accountable for the overall strategy planning, inventive product development and high-quality execution and management of your domain processes.

Using strong technical tax knowledge and understanding of regional tax regulations, this role contributes to tax compliance, tax reporting, tax controversy support, and process improvement initiatives.

Your tasks

• Leverage your extensive Tax & Statutory process/domain knowledge to lead the development and extension of products and services and know how to communicate and market them.
• Deliver a compelling Tax & Statutory vision and value proposition for Leadership and Senior level clients (current and prospective) and influence key stakeholders to gain designed impact and results.
• Lead the design of future state tax processes, controls, and operating model enhancements.
• Exhibit high level of Tax & Statutory subject matter expertise within process and technologies with responsibility for the overall execution of the process and its quality.
• Drive and lead the development of new tools, PoV and methodologies individually and through networks (e.g. centers of excellence). As a domain expert, provide direction to business strategy.
• Understand business requirement and envision new processes aligned with optimization of resources and maximizing customer value.
• Think strategically to see the bigger picture within Tax and Statutory domain, excellent understanding of the business, emerging trends, disruptions and the impact on organizational finances and services.
• Keep abreast of tax technology solutions (ERP tax modules, reporting tools, data extraction) and technological developments, their strengths and weaknesses, and suggest technology-related improvements within the given area of expertise.

Your profile

• Solid understanding of direct and indirect tax regulations across Europe & EMEA (VAT, CIT, WHT, excise where applicable) and very good understanding of GBS/SSC/BPO operating models.
• Proven experience in finance transformation (with tangible & scalable projects with focus on Business Outcomes - not only FTEs reduction) and very strong end-to-end process knowledge within finance (Tax and Statutory, Controllership, Record to Report).
• Ability to shape transformation story & sell transformation projects leveraging available offers & products.
• Experience and awareness of RFI/RFP process, negotiations skills, executive presence & managing senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with tax ERP modules (SAP, Oracle) and tax reporting tools and experience with automation tools (Power BI, Alteryx, Vertex, Thomson Reuters, OneSource).
• Awareness and experience with Tax & Stat automation solutions including GenAI/Agentic.
• High level of consulting skills including hypothesis driven analysis, collaborative meeting management, data collection & diagnostics, storytelling & storyboarding.
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., CIMA, CPA, ACCA, CIPS, CPSM, CSCP or similar) as well as a university degree in a related field.
