Job summary

AimBig Employment Pty Ltd client in Kraków seeks a Payroll Director to lead the global payroll operating model and drive standardisation and transformation.

You will partner with senior leaders, manage an international payroll team across countries and time zones, and ensure compliant service delivery.

Hybrid role with an office in Kraków, competitive base salary plus bonus, company car or car allowance, private medical care and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience in global payroll or a complex international payroll environment.
• Proven experience leading geographically dispersed, multicultural teams across multiple countries and time zones.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills in a matrix organisation.
• Experience managing external payroll providers and multi-country service delivery.
• Strong understanding of global payroll processes, compliance, controls, risk management and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of the global payroll operating model, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, leverage technology and enhance the employee experience.
• Partner with senior leadership on global payroll transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with payroll operations and business requirements.
• Lead and develop a geographically dispersed global payroll organization, ensuring high-quality, accurate and compliant service delivery.
• Define and execute the global payroll strategy, driving standardization, scalability and continuous improvement.
• Own operational performance, KPIs, service levels, risk management and resolution of complex payroll issues.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, HR, Technology, Legal, Tax and other corporate functions.
• Lead governance and performance management of external payroll providers.
• Strengthen global payroll controls, compliance, governance and audit readiness.
• Develop talent and build a culture of accountability, collaboration and service excellence.

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build trust and drive accountability across a global organization
• Fluent English
