Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Field Inspection Engineer (NDT) to inspect port equipment on-site, verify compliance with technical standards, and report non-conformities during international projects. The role combines field testing, documentation, and expert support for maintenance and repair in an international environment.

Applicants should have a mechanical/structural/hydraulic background, valid NDT certification, and at least five years of industry experience.

Qualifications

Technical education in mechanical, structural, or hydraulic engineering is required.
Valid NDT certification (ISO 9712, AWS or equivalent) is mandatory.
At least 5 years in fabrication, welding, or maintenance in industrial settings.
Willingness to travel internationally (≈80%) and work in field conditions.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and specs; Polish fluency.

Responsibilities

Perform NDT inspections and quality checks on steel structures, welds and components of port equipment.
Verify fabrication, assembly, installation and repair against technical docs and standards.
Identify non-conformities and prepare punch lists and inspection reports.
Support on-site maintenance with technical assessments of equipment condition.
Interpret drawings and specifications and participate in crane condition monitoring.
