Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking a Measurement Systems Software Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and sustain software for measurement platforms used in Global Manufacturing.

This role contributes to reliability, standardization, and continuous improvement of measurement software and back-end systems. You will collaborate with manufacturing and development teams to implement product measurement systems, ensure data flow, and support software releases across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience as Engineer II.
• Experience in C#, VB.Net, Python, or similar.
• Relational databases knowledge (Oracle or SQL Server).
• Working knowledge of SQL statements (Select, Insert, Update).
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in multi-cultural, remote teams.
• Effective communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development, manufacturing, and cross-functional partners to understand requirements and regional needs.
• Define, develop, and implement product measurement systems with teams.
• Support deployment and sustainment of new software releases across global manufacturing environments.
• Identify, document, and track defects using standard tools.
• Validate data flows between software, instruments, databases, and related systems.
• Assist with troubleshooting measurement and related systems.
• Prepare and maintain test records, release documents, and work instructions.
