Job summary

Woodward Inc. seeks an experienced Industrial Controller to lead the segment's accounting and reporting. You will own financial statements, closing processes, controls, and compliance while partnering with the Segment President and leadership team to drive performance.

You will lead a global accounting organization, driving standardization, automation, and process improvements, including SAP S/4HANA implementation and digital transformation across Industrial locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 10+ years progressive accounting experience in a complex, multi-site environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX requirements.
• Experience leading, developing, and engaging teams with executive partnerships.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP in a manufacturing context.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting activities for the Industrial segment, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, local GAAP, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee revenue, cost, inventory accounting, reserves, accruals, and other significant judgments.
• Partner with Segment President and leadership to provide insights on performance, working capital, and cash flow.
• Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and growth with accounting guidance; drive audits and SOX remediation.
