V2X is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose and repair military and civilian wheeled equipment in a shop and field environment. The role requires hands-on maintenance, inspection, and repair of heavy machinery, with emphasis on safety and quality control.

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, hold a valid state driver’s license, and be able to obtain/maintain a CAC within three months. The work supports defense and logistics missions with potential field duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in wheeled equipment maintenance or equivalent.
• Proficient in servicing, troubleshooting and repairing military and civilian wheeled equipment.
• Familiar with the use of electronic technical manuals.

Responsabilités

• Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wheeled vehicles and trailers equipment.
• Inspects, tests, and operates wheeled equipment (commercial and military) to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation.
• Services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air, disassembles and assembles malfunctioning accessories and components.
• Removes, disassembles, repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstall components and accessories.
• Disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations.
