Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Head of Data Science & Credit Risk based in Poland. You will lead ML-powered underwriting, credit risk decisioning, and policy development across multiple markets, owning model lifecycle from development to deployment and monitoring.

You will build and mentor a high-performing team, collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance and executives, and drive data-driven decisions that improve approval rates and portfolio health in a mission-driven fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined experience in data science, machine learning and consumer credit risk.
• Proven leadership developing credit policies and managing portfolios at scale.
• Experience deploying production ML models in real-time decisioning environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead ML model design, testing, deployment and monitoring for credit decisioning and risk segmentation.
• Develop underwriting algorithms using alternative data sources while expanding access to financial services.
• Build and scale real-time scoring models across multiple markets and products.
• Ensure models are interpretable, robust, and compliant with governance and drift monitoring.
• Establish best practices for experimentation, versioning and deployment lifecycle management.
• Strategically plan the data science and credit risk roadmap aligned with growth and market expansion.
