Job summary

Inbank is seeking a Credit Risk Underwriting Modeller for our Gdańsk office. In this hands-on role you will develop and refine statistical models used in credit decisioning, collaborating with risk and tech teams to shape data-driven underwriting strategies.

You will work on end-to-end modeling, data integration, and model monitoring to improve profitability and risk controls, with a hybrid work setup and opportunities across multiple markets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in statistical, predictive, or data modeling.
• Solid understanding of statistical methods and machine learning techniques.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with large, real-world datasets.
• Strong SQL skills and data extraction/manipulation experience.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar tools.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Clear written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and maintain statistical models used in credit underwriting.
• Own the end-to-end modeling process from data collection to model deployment and monitoring.
• Analyze internal and external data to enhance model performance.
• Monitor models for accuracy, risk management, and profitability.
• Collaborate with technology to improve automated credit decision systems.
• Translate business needs into executable modeling solutions and ensure documentation.
