Citibank (Switzerland) AG is seeking a senior Data Governance Foundation Principal to define the enterprise data governance strategy, including risk and control frameworks and taxonomies. The role interfaces with International Business and Finance Data to enable governance adoption, identify requirements, analyze quality issues, and support remediation through delivery and validation.

Strong SQL querying and data analysis skills with Excel/Python are essential for communicating to senior

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Process Engineering in Banking/Financial Services.
• Strong regulatory knowledge of banking regulations and reporting (US/non-US).
• Expertise in Data Governance, data sources, and data insights with tooling awareness.
• Proven track record leading large, cross-functional data projects and change initiatives.
• Demonstrated operational leadership in data governance programs.
• Experience creating frameworks to improve data quality for regulatory commitments and risk management.
• Broad knowledge of financial products (Derivatives, Securities, Credit Cards).
• Ability to collaborate globally to meet mandated reporting requirements.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and align enterprise data governance and data risk strategy across functions and regions.
• Develop prioritization to define and track enterprise data program scope.
• Integrate data roadmaps across functions and regions into a cohesive roadmap.
• Provide advisory services on prioritization and requirements.
• Identify overlapping initiatives and resolve duplication of efforts.
• Collaborate with ECDO Heads to develop capability maturity frameworks.
• Prepare materials reporting progress to senior leadership and regulators.
• Coordinate with metrics team to define objective measures for governance narratives.
