Job summary

Alfa Laval in Kraków is seeking an experienced Data Architect to shape the future architecture of Alfa Laval’s Global Data & Analytics Platform. You will work across domains, source systems and teams to create a scalable, governed data landscape and bridge current and future states.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, architects, data engineers and developers to implement data models, governance, and platform capabilities, enabling reporting, analytics and AI-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in data architecture or related senior data roles.
• Proven experience designing and implementing modern cloud-based data architectures in enterprise environments (Azure preferred).
• Strong data modelling across conceptual, logical and physical levels.
• Ability to balance platform standardization with domain autonomy and reusable data products.
• Experience with data integration, transformation and orchestration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive a coherent data architecture for Alfa Laval’s Global Data & Analytics Platform across domains and systems.
• Establish and promote architectural principles, standards and guardrails for data modelling, governance and security.
• Shape the target architecture and roadmap by assessing landscape and identifying gaps.
• Create and maintain reusable data models across domains to support analytics and business use cases.
• Translate requirements into enterprise data architecture and align data products with the overall strategy.
• Collaborate hands-on with architects, data engineers and developers to implement data models and integration patterns.
• Partner with stakeholders to align priorities and explain architectural decisions across the organization.
• Collaborate with other architects to evaluate technologies supporting analytics, AI and digital needs.
