Job summary

Konecranes Port Solutions seeks a Commissioning Engineer to join our Horizontal & Yard Technology team in Kraków. You will participate in all stages of design and implementation for container handling applications, working with a global team to deliver safe, smart, and efficient crane solutions.

You will commission automated cranes, interface with customer systems, and travel internationally for project deliveries.

Qualifications

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Automation or Electrics.
Basic understanding of PLC-programming (S7 and Tiaportal).
Basic understanding of ethernet based device communication.
Basic understanding of electrical drawings.
Willingness to travel 200+ days per year (6–8 weeks at a time).
Systematic problem-solving skills.
Good attitude to learn and develop.
Fluent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

Commission automated cranes and related systems, including interfaces to customer systems and remote operator desks.
Report commissioning progress clearly and proactively to relevant stakeholders.
Work closely with customers during commissioning, maintaining clear and professional communication.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Test systems together with the customer, including longer testing phases that may take 2–3 weeks.
