As a Geospatial Image Analyst in the Data line of business, you will exploit SAR data for Defence & Intelligence applications, transforming radar data into actionable insights and producing geospatial products

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in geospatial analysis, SAR/satellite imagery exploitation, or related D&I analytical functions.
• Proficient in SAR interpretation and geospatial software like QGIS, SOCET GXP, ArcGIS.
• Strong understanding of remote sensing and geospatial principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex findings.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced SAR image exploitation and analysis to support D&I use cases such as activity monitoring, change detection and pattern-of-life analysis.
• Develop and deliver analytic reports, visualizations, and geospatial products meeting customer requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with product and delivery teams to define analysis specifications and interpret results.
• Apply geospatial, remote sensing, and SAR science expertise to enhance ICEYE’s analytics capabilities and data value.
• Engage with customers and partners to explain methodologies and outputs.
• Stay current with advances in SAR technology and geospatial tools.

Why This Role Matters

As a Geospatial Image Analyst within ICEYE's Data line of business, you will play a central role in the exploitation and interpretation of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery - with a primary focus on Defence & Intelligence (D&I) applications and use cases.

This position is suited for an individual with several years of hands-on experience in geospatial data analysis and image interpretation, who is ready to deepen their expertise in SAR exploitation and operational delivery. You will contribute directly to mission-critical insights by transforming complex radar data into actionable intelligence products.

Working closely with our Image Analysis, Sales Engineering, Marketing, Product and Sales teams, you will combine your analytical acumen with advanced geospatial tools - including AI workflows - to provide stakeholders with timely, accurate, and operationally relevant geospatial intelligence.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced SAR image exploitation and analysis to support D&I use cases such as activity monitoring, change detection and pattern-of-life analysis.
• Develop and deliver analytic reports, visualizations, and geospatial products that meet customer requirements and operational standards.
• Collaborate with product and delivery teams to define analysis specifications, interpret results, and ensure technical outputs align with needs.
• Apply geospatial, remote sensing, and SAR science expertise to enhance ICEYE’s analytical capabilities and data value proposition.
• Engage with customers and partners, when required, to explain methodologies, interpret outputs, and support the operational use of ICEYE data.
• Stay current with advances in SAR technology, geospatial tools, and D&I analytic tradecraft, incorporating new techniques and insights into daily work.

Must Haves

What we’re looking for

• 3-5+ years of experience in geospatial analysis, SAR/satellite imagery (electro-optical, thermal, hyperspectral etc) exploitation, or related D&I analytical functions.
• Proficient in SAR interpretation, with working knowledge of common geospatial software e.g. QGIS, SOCET GXP, ArcGIS.
• Strong understanding of remote sensing and related geospatial principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
