Job summary

Publicis Re:Sources in Lublin is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to support GL activities, assist with month-end and year-end closing, and ensure accurate financial data across markets. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and auditors while driving process improvements.

The role requires a solid accounting background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. English and Polish fluency is expected, with a modern office in a business district in Lublin.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Several years of professional General Ledger experience, preferably in SSC/BPO or multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with SAP or another ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger accounting activities for assigned entities or markets.
• Prepare and post manual and complex journal entries.
• Own balance sheet accounts end-to-end, including reconciliations, analysis, and follow-up actions.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Analyze and resolve accounting discrepancies, including intercompany differences.
• Support statutory reporting, financial statements, audits, and internal control activities.
• Prepare reports, reconciliations, and financial analysis as required.
• Cooperate closely with internal departments, stakeholders, auditors, and external partners.
• Support tax, statistical, and other external reporting activities where applicable.
• Identify recurring issues, perform root-cause analysis, and propose improvements.
• Support process standardization, automation, and transformation initiatives.
• Participate in system, reporting, and process changes, including testing and transition activities.
• Provide guidance and knowledge support to junior team members.
• Act as a backup within the team when required.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, service level agreements, group policies, and applicable legal requirements.
