Job summary

Billennium is seeking a Platform / Solution Architect to support the delivery team on GCP and advance the development environment to the next phase. The role blends hands-on architecture with strong stakeholder navigation in a large, complex organisation.

You will design reusable platform layers, align with product teams, and contribute to governance, data/AI/ML use cases, and light Product Owner duties to keep the team unblocked.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Platform Architect, Solution Architect or Technical Lead on cloud platform initiatives.
• Strong GCP expertise and architectural design experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement in a large, complex organisation.
• Solution and systems design, including data modelling and systems integration.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural design and decisions for the development environment on GCP.
• Design a generic, reusable platform layer adopted by new projects.
• Align design and timelines with other teams and gather input for decisions.
• Secure support from the delivery team through organisational networking.
• Contribute to governance discussions around platform ownership and adoption.
• Support data and AI/ML use cases, including pipeline and integration design.
• Provide light Product Owner support to keep the team unblocked.
• Maintain and extend the stakeholder map and communications.
