Job summary

Zoolatech seeks a Software Engineer to join our Web Discovery squad. You will deliver full-stack features across UI, APIs, and infrastructure, collaborating with UX, product, and program managers to ship high-quality code.

You will work with live experiments to drive data-driven decisions, implement secure, scalable solutions, and participate in design reviews to ensure performance and quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years professional experience as a software engineer.
• RESTful APIs experience (Golang, Java, Python).
• Experience with AWS services (S3, Kubernetes, Lambda).
• Test automation across unit, integration, and regression.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infra tooling.

A Software Engineer is a key member of the client’s technology group of professionals that applies scientific, mathematical, and social principles to design, build, and maintain technology products, devices, systems, and features. These technology products and features provide amazing customer experiences while meeting the needs of the business. The scope, responsibility and accountabilityof this role is primarily at the feature level.

The Web Discovery squad is focused on building and enhancing our high-traffic eCommerce websites to enable our customers to have a quick, enjoyable, and frictionless shopping experience. You will collaborate closely with fellow engineers to develop and refine the evolving customer shopping experience, using live experimentation to make data driven engineering decisions, while partnering with user experience, product, and program managers on requirements, support requests, and UAT as needed.

Responsibilities

• Delivering full-stack features (design, implementation, testing, and support)
• Working across the full stack of technologies (Web UI, APIs, and Infrastructure)
• Building reusable cross-platform components for future use
• Translating written requirements, designs, and wireframes into high-quality code
• Design and collaborate with local squad and partner teams
• Test all scenarios and conform to quality and security standards
• Participate in design and code review to ensure quality and testability of feature code
• Understand, identify, measure performance and success of features
• Identify performance issues; apply knowledge of security coding practices and secure system fundamentals (e.g., cross-site scripting, security certificates)
• Occasionally assist with tasks triaged from on‑call FTE engineers, while your primary focus remains feature work
• Use Claude Code and other client-approved AI tools as part of the day‑to‑day development workflow

Qualifications

• 3+ years professional experience as a software engineer
• Recent experience with RESTful APIs (Golang, Java, Python)
• Recent experience with Amazon Web Services (S3, Kubernetes, Lambda)
• Test automation experience at all levels (Unit, Integration, Regression)
• Familiarity with modern infrastructure tools and pipelines (GitHub CI/CD, CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with ops tools, logging, and metrics (New Relic, Splunk, CloudWatch)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences
• A passion for innovation, clean code, and learning new technologies
• Required experience using Claude Code (or similar AI‑assisted development tools) in a professional development workflow
