Job summary

Capco Poland is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Engineer to join our investment banking project in Kraków. You will leverage Python backend, React and TypeScript to build scalable APIs and cloud-native services, with a focus on secure, production-grade delivery.

You'll collaborate with product, design and data teams, apply modern engineering practices, and shape AI-powered features while upholding security and reliability standards across the stack.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience with backend apps, services, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Python frameworks and tooling (FastAPI, Flask, Django); pytest; package management; async programming where relevant.
• Experience building full-stack apps or working with frontend engineers on API contracts.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals: clean code, OO/functional design, testing, debugging, API design, and source control.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases; writing efficient queries and data modeling.
• Practical experience building or integrating generative AI solutions using LLM APIs and orchestration frameworks.
• Understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector stores, prompt design, agent workflows, model eval and AI safety/guardrails.
• Experience with cloud-hosted apps, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Awareness of secure development practices, including secrets management, access control, data protection, and dependency security.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to navigate ambiguous technical issues.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical decisions to engineers and non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and maintain secure, scalable backend services and APIs, primarily using Python.
• Deliver production-quality code through sound engineering practices: version control, automated testing, code review, CI/CD, and clear technical documentation.
• Integrate services with internal platforms, data sources and third‑party APIs, handling authentication, authorisation, resilience, and error management appropriately.
• Build and support AI‑enabled features, including integrations with LLMs, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), prompt workflows, and agentic patterns.
• Implement appropriate AI evaluation, monitoring, guardrails, and human oversight to ensure solutions are reliable, secure, and used responsibly.
• Investigate and resolve defects, performance issues, and operational incidents; use logs, metrics, and traces to improve reliability.
• Work with product, design, data, and engineering colleagues to turn requirements into practical, maintainable technical solutions.
• Contribute to technical design discussions, estimate work realistically and deliver agreed outcomes to time and quality expectations.
• Keep up to date with relevant engineering, AI and security practices, applying them pragmatically to day‑to‑day delivery.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experiencedFull-Stack Engineer to join Capco on a project within investment banking. The ideal candidate brings strong Python backend development expertise, hands‑on experience with React and TypeScript, and a solid understanding of scalable APIs and cloud technologies. Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG and AI agents is also important. You'll build secure, production‑ready applications, combining strong engineering practices with a proactive, collaborative approach to problem‑solving.
