Job summary

Aristocrat Leisure is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Engineer to join its game development team in a dynamic, agile setting. You will blend frontend JavaScript across iOS, Android, and Web with robust PHP-powered backend services to fuel social casino gameplay and LiveOps features.

You will own features end-to-end—from concept through release—driving performance, scalability, and reliability in a high-traffic environment while collaborating with Product to shape technical solutions and delivery

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with JavaScript in production environments.
• Experience crafting and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of client-server architecture.
• Experience contributing to features through the full development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a player-first approach.
• Nice-to-have: Experience developing backend services in PHP (strongly preferred).
• Experience working within an existing PHP codebase.

Responsibilities

• Participate in end-to-end feature development, growing social and gameplay systems.
• Own features from concept through release and monitoring.
• Implement frontend functionality in JavaScript across iOS, Android, and Web.
• Compose and build backend services and APIs in PHP to power new gameplay, social, and LiveOps features.
• Develop scalable RESTful APIs consumed by client applications.
• Contribute to data modeling and persistence for player progression, rewards, and events.
• Improve backend efficiency to handle high concurrency and sizable player populations.
• Ensure features are reliable, testable, and production-ready.
• Assess and optimize frontend and backend performance to provide a fluid player experience.
• Partner with Product to scope technical solutions and make pragmatic tradeoffs.
