Job summary

Box is hiring a Software Engineer for its Automate team. You will design and implement full-stack features in Java and React/TypeScript to power a scalable workflow automation platform used by millions. You will work with product, design, and infrastructure to deliver reliable automation solutions and contribute to on-call incident response.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong proficiency in Java and React/TypeScript.
Experience building scalable backend systems and APIs.
Fluent English proficiency (written and verbal).
Experience with cloud platforms and containerization.

Responsibilities

Design and implement full-stack features for Box Automate platform using Java and React/TypeScript.
Develop and optimize backend services powering workflow automation for high performance.
Create responsive front-end interfaces to configure and monitor automated workflows.
Collaborate with product, design, and infra to define requirements and deliver on schedule.
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
Join on-call rotation to respond to incidents.
Attend stand-ups and team meetings for alignment.
