Job summary

Circle K Global Development is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join the Retail and Digital Channels Development Section. The role spans backend services for a global retail platform and frontend web apps run inside embedded browser contexts, collaborating with agile teams across Europe.

You will design REST/SOAP interfaces, work with POS integrations, and contribute to localization and fiscalisation across European markets. English and Polish fluency required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' Java development experience (Java 8+, ideally Java 11+), including JUnit, JPA/Hibernate, JAX-RS/JAX-WS
• Solid Spring Framework experience across modern Spring (Boot, Data, Cloud) and legacy Spring with XML/Java-based config
• Experience with REST and SOAP interfaces, API docs (Swagger/OpenAPI) and microservice communication patterns
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL, data modelling)
• Working knowledge of at least one modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue.js, SAP UI5) and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD and version control workflows (Jenkins, Sonar, Gradle)
• Understanding of POS systems, retail checkout flows and payment processing concepts
• Knowledge of design patterns and Domain Driven Design basics
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies (SCRUM)
• Fluent English and Polish — B2/C1 minimum

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services for the global retail sales platform—domain services, REST/SOAP interfaces, data access layers
• Design and implement POS functionality using Spring-based backend and custom DSL
• Build and maintain extensions and integrations within the retail platform, avoiding POS core changes
• Work with Data Containers, Master Data distribution and Service API layer for POS integrations
• Implement and configure business processes: checkout flows, payment handling, barcode rules, loyalty integrations
• Contribute to localization and fiscalisation of POS solutions for different European markets
• Ensure lifecycle management: versioning and environment promotion DEV-TEST-PROD
• Develop web applications on embedded browser (JxBrowser) and backend endpoints for end-to-end delivery
• Extend and maintain enterprise frontend apps (Employee Hub, Launchpad)
• Collaborate in an agile multinational environment
