Job summary

Kraken is building the Growth Foundations frontend team to deliver a scalable component library and design system used across Kraken’s web experiences. The role focuses on high-quality, pixel-perfect UI implementations and close collaboration with design, product, and engineering to accelerate development and maintain consistency.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web and component-driven applications.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and proficiency with React framework.
• Experience building and maintaining design systems or component libraries.
• Experience with modern frontend build tools and tooling.
• Experience with API design and integration (RESTful APIs, GraphQL).
• Strong understanding of web accessibility (WCAG) and UI/UX best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship a comprehensive component library and design system using React.js and a CMS.
• Build and document reusable, accessible components and integrate with a CMS to enable dynamic content management.
• Deliver polished, pixel-perfect UI implementations that translate designs into production.
• Move quickly across multiple projects while balancing speed and quality.
• Establish frontend best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns across the org.
• Create comprehensive component documentation and guidelines for developers.
