Job summary

Shiji is hiring for a frontend-focused developer in Katowice. You will join an agile, multi-disciplinary team and work on microfrontends and microservices. Expect modern tooling with GitLab, Docker, and CI/CD as core parts of daily work.

You’ll contribute to UI components, UX improvements, and reusable design systems, while collaborating closely with designers and back-end engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Your role

In this role, you will work as part of an agile development team, collaborating closely with developers, designers, and other stakeholders. We work in iterative cycles that include refinement sessions, planning meetings, and retrospectives to continuously improve our process and product. You will work with GitLab, using feature branches for each User Story and synchronizing your work with the develop and master branches. Daily commits, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins), and merge requests reviewed by other team members are part of our standard workflow.

For local development and deployment of our microservices, we use Docker and Docker Compose. Communication and coordination within the team take place mainly through Microsoft Teams. You will collaborate with our UI/UX department to deliver applications with the best possible look and feel, ensuring a great user experience. Additionally, you will contribute to our internal NPM packages, helping build reusable components, design systems, and shared functionality across projects.
