Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Front End Lead to provide oversight of front-end operations and lead the front-end team in delivering exceptional customer service. You will train staff, manage cashier tasks, and coordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth checkout experience.

The role requires strong communication, cash-handling accuracy, and flexibility to work varied shifts while upholding company values and participating in training programs.

Qualifications

• : At least 3 years of retail cashier or retail supervisory experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• : Meticulous attention to detail and strong math skills for accurate cash handling.
• : Excellent communication skills to implement policies and direct staff.
• : Excellent verbal and written communication to convey ideas, instructions, and information clearly.
• : Strong customer service skills.
• : Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front end operations and lead front end associates.
• Provide comprehensive training for new front end associates.
• Oversee cashier transactions and layaway processes including monthly layaway audits.
• Empower Cashiers to utilize the cashier script and educate on programs like loyalty, RK Visa, RK Plus Protection Plan.
• Assist cashiers by running a register to ensure smooth front-end operations.
• Establish and maintain margin bins for product visibility and organization.
• Communicate professionally with Rural King associates and customers.
• Assist in load outs and coordinate with Outside Recover Associates for prompt response.
• Execute accurate cash management, returns, layaways, exchanges, and price dispute resolutions.
• Set up and manage tax-exempt customer plans.
• Disactivate EAS devices or wrapped products as needed.
• Assist shrink awareness and resolve cash shortages in the register.
• Maintain awareness to prevent loss and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Answer calls with professional demeanor and identify Rural King as a representative.
• Complete daily paperwork including bank deposit and safe audits.
• Oversee popcorn and coffee stations to meet demand.
• Order necessary store supplies for front-end operations.
• Oversee BOPIS and online transaction pickups; conduct weekly BOPIS audits.
• Perform general office tasks and cross-train across departments.
• Participate in training initiatives and learning opportunities.
• Provide friendly, proactive internal and external support.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
