Freelance Social Media Video Creator - YouTube (Contract)

Study.com is a leader in online education. As part of our commitment to learners, we help people prepare for and pass the ASVAB. We are creating YouTube videos that offer test strategies, content review, and exam insights for our ASVAB Test Prep channel.

We’re seeking experienced social media video creators who can record engaging, accurate, and informative videos that make complex topics simple and approachable.

This is a remote, online, contract role with flexible scheduling. All work is paid per piece.

Project Description

You’ll be provided with scripts and practice problems to create short-form, high-quality videos (under 10 minutes) focused on ASVAB test prep. Content will include test strategies, content explanations, and practice problems.

Our audience is learners of all levels preparing for the ASVAB. Your job: make test prep approachable, engaging, and confidence-boosting.

No video editing is required—we’re looking for creators comfortable presenting on-camera with clear, accurate delivery. Please review the How to Apply section for sample video requirements. Applications without a sample video will not be considered.

Responsibilities

Record engaging and informative YouTube videos focused on ASVAB exam prep.

Present information in a clear, concise, and approachable manner.

Ensure all content is accurate, current, and relevant to the ASVAB.

Maintain a consistent and professional on-screen presence.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Experience: Proven experience creating video content for YouTube, TikTok, or similar social media platforms
• Expertise: Subject matter expertise in at least one area (math, ELA, electronics, science, mechanics, assembling objects, auto and shop information)
• Skills & Equipment:
  • Comfortable and confident on camera
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner
  • Microphone, camera, and tablet/stylus (or equivalent tools for demonstration)
• Professionalism: Ability to work independently and respond constructively to feedback

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or subject matter expertise in an ASVAB-related area (math, ELA, electronics, science, mechanics, assembling objects, auto and shop information)
• Experience writing or reading scripts for video production
• Previous experience creating educational or instructional video content
• Military background (current or former service) is a plus but not required

How to Apply

• Sample video: Provide a link to a sample video with you as the central focus. We will be looking at: your appearance, your presentation, and your audio and video quality. This is your opportunity to show us what you can bring. Feel free to show off your personality and style. No video editing is necessary.
• The video should be a maximum of 2 minutes showing you presenting the following script: "Welcome to Study.com's Military Test Prep channel. I'm (your name), a (credentials - examples: a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army or a former Air Force reservist). I aim to be your secret weapon to help you study for and pass the ASVAB. In this video, I'm going to give you a complete overview of the ASVAB and what's covered on all ten subtests. Thanks for joining me! Like this video if I helped you out and subscribe to this channel for all the essential resources you'll need to launch your military career."

Applications without a sample video that includes the following will not be considered:

• You must be visible and speaking on-screen during some or all of the video.
• Video and audio quality must be acceptable.
