Job summary

Bonapolia is seeking a senior AI/ML software engineer to design and deliver end-to-end LLM-based applications for enterprise clients on US working hours. You’ll work with React/TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, and vector search, building scalable systems that integrate with document parsing and data privacy tooling.

You will collaborate with non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional teams, shaping product outcomes while ensuring high-quality, observable deployments across cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Strong React/TypeScript and Python skills with production experience.
• Experience delivering at least one LLM application to production (RAG, prompt design, structured output).
• Hands-on with vector or hybrid search and document parsing (PDF/Word/Excel).
• Experience with LLM evaluation and observability tools (Langfuse or similar).
• Working knowledge of Azure hosting, VMs, and Entra ID/SSO.
• Excellent client-facing skills and ability to lead sessions with senior stakeholders.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

What we offer

• Model: B2B contract with Bonapolia - one contract, one monthly invoice

• Rate: negotiated per candidate seniority and client budget

• Payment: monthly invoice, paid on the same schedule the client pays us (usually 30 days)

Duration:

Until the end of 2026, with a potential extension into 2027

Location:

EU, Eastern Europe, or other locations

Working hours:

US working hours.

Must-have qualifications:

• Strong React/TypeScript and Python skills (FastAPI or similar).

• Experience delivering at least one LLM application to production, including RAG, prompt design, structured output, and OpenAI API.

• Hands-on experience with vector or hybrid search and document parsing (PDF, Word, Excel).

• Experience with LLM evaluation and observability tools (Langfuse or similar).

• Working knowledge of Azure, including VMs, application hosting, and Entra ID/SSO.

• Strong client-facing skills, including the ability to lead sessions with non-technical senior stakeholders, provide clear status updates, and work effectively with ambiguity.

• Fluent spoken and written English.

Nice to have:

• MCP server development or Claude/agent integrations.

• Experience with PII and GDPR handling, including Presidio and EU data residency.

• Background in finance, private equity, or M&A due diligence.
