Job summary

Infolet in Kraków is seeking a hands-on Cloud FinOps specialist to optimize multi-cloud expenditures and implement automated cost controls. You will work with Azure, AWS, and GCP to design scalable governance using Terraform, Python/Bash, and CI/CD pipelines.

The role focuses on logging/observability and storage cost drivers, with governance, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement across enterprise teams. Hybrid work in Kraków is offered.

Kraków ( Hybrid - 2 days in the office / 3 days remote )

Project

Hands-on role focused on analyzing, optimizing, and automating cloud expenditures across a multi-cloud estate (Azure, AWS, GCP), with an initial focus on logging/observability and storage cost drivers. Combining cloud engineering (IaC, automation, scripting) with FinOps practices to design sustainable cost controls, reduce run-rate, and foster cost-aware engineering behaviors within a highly governed financial enterprise.

You will

• Identify & Optimize: Analyze ingestion, retention, tiering, sampling, and routing rules across cloud logs and storage to pinpoint savings; prioritize opportunities by ROI and risk
• Automate & Deploy: Build and deploy scalable automation and IaC templates (Terraform/CI/CD) for log/storage cost controls, drift detection, and automated governance
• FinOps & Governance: Improve tagging and allocation models for accurate showback/chargeback; define policies, workspace quotas, default retention rules, and budget alerts
• Stakeholder Engagement: Run optimization clinics with platform and application teams to agree on cost reduction targets, owners, and timelines
• Reporting & Proposals: Build business cases with projected savings, produce executive-ready reporting, and present technical recommendations to senior engineering leads
• Compliance & Control: Ensure all changes pass strict risk, compliance, and change control frameworks, maintaining runbooks and rollback plans

Must have

• Multi-Cloud: Hands-on Azure (Log Analytics, Monitor, Sentinel, Policy) + strong knowledge of AWS (CloudWatch, S3) or GCP (Cloud Logging, BigQuery)
• Automation/IaC: Terraform, Python/Bash, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps)
• FinOps: Practical experience in cost allocation, tagging, budgeting, and savings forecasting
• Observability & Storage: Expertise in log architecture, data retention, and storage lifecycle management
• Enterprise Environment: Experience with strict compliance, change management, and risk frameworks
• Soft Skills: Ability to present technical proposals to senior leaders and run cross-team workshops
