Job summary

LTM in Krakow, Poland, is seeking a FinOps Cloud Engineer on a 6-month contract (sub-contract or B2B) with hybrid work (3 days in office). You will identify cost optimizations across Azure, AWS, and GCP, and implement changes using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires hands-on multi-cloud experience, strong cost governance skills, and the ability to present savings forecasts to senior stakeholders. Compensation is 185 PLN per hour on a 6-month engagement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with at least two public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Strong experience with cloud logging, monitoring, storage, and cost management services.
• Understanding of logging and observability architecture: ingestion, routing, retention, and storage cost drivers.
• Proven ability to analyse large-scale logging data and identify cost reductions.
• Azure expertise: Log Analytics, Monitor, Storage, Sentinel, Cost Management, Policy.
• AWS knowledge: CloudWatch Logs, S3 Lifecycle, Cost Explorer, Cost and Usage Reports.
• GCP knowledge: Cloud Logging, Log Router, Log Sinks, BigQuery, Billing Exports.
• Automation with Terraform, Python, and Bash.
• Experience deploying with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• FinOps principles, cost governance, showback, and chargeback.
• Cloud governance standards and automated guardrails.
• Ability to present savings forecasts and business cases.

Responsibilities

• Identify and deliver cloud cost optimisation opportunities across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Analyse logging, observability and storage usage to identify key cost drivers.
• Implement cost optimisation changes using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Build repeatable automation for logging and storage cost optimisation across multi-cloud.
• Produce structured optimisation proposals and forecasts of savings.
• Develop rollback plans and validate changes post-implementation.
• Define and maintain FinOps policies, guardrails, retention standards and budgets.
• Produce executive-level reporting on cost trends, savings, and risks.
