Job summary

Revolut Ltd is seeking a Spanish-speaking FinCrime Escalations Officer for a 9-month FTC. Based in Krakow with remote options across Europe, you will escalate and assess suspicious activity reports, coordinate with regulators, and support MLRO-led case handling.

The role requires strong AML knowledge, experience in FinCrime operations, and fluency in English and Spanish, with flexible work arrangements across multiple locations.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a compliance/FinCrime officer in a major financial institution.
  • Experience in FinCrime operations acting as the escalation point.
  • In-depth knowledge of AML and sanctions regulations.
  • Experience using internal systems and databases to conduct investigations.
  • Ability to review policies and advise on changes.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to present a summary and conclusion to management promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as the escalation point for suspicious activity cases.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely SARs are submitted according to local requirements.
  • Responding to regulatory inquiries and other requests from local authorities related to SARs.
  • Managing queries requiring a second line of defence review.
  • Working with the MLRO and escalating significant cases.
  • Monitoring and detecting rare or new patterns, and reporting emerging trends in suspicious activity.
  • Resolving escalated cases, following expected resolution times.
  • Participating in projects with management as required.
  • Collaborating on training initiatives and implementation of new processes.

About the role

Financial Crime Operations is at the forefront of Revolut’s efforts to keep customers and their money safe. Team members work directly with customers to resolve issues and flag potential concerns. Using cutting-edge technology and sharp attention to detail, they help prevent financial crime and keep trust at the core of Revolut.

We’re looking for a Spanish-speaking Escalations Officer to ensure effective and compliant suspicious activity reporting in branches across Europe. You'll be performing assessments and making decisions on reports, which are escalated from the first line of defence.

What you’ll be doing

What you'll need
  • Experience as a compliance/FinCrime officer in a major financial institution
  • Experience in FinCrime operations acting as the escalation point
  • In-depth knowledge of AML and sanctions regulations
  • Experience using internal and external systems and databases to conduct investigations
  • The ability to review policies and procedures and advise if changes are required
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse complex information to identify the key issue/action and drive resolutions
  • The ability to present a summary and conclusion to management promptly, including clear proposals to implement appropriate steps to mitigate and/or monitor risk
  • An understanding of payment systems and markets with a focus on technology and mobile applications
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
Compensation range
  • Krakow: PLN9,300 - PLN12,700 gross monthly*
  • Poland: PLN9,300 - PLN12,700 gross monthly*
  • Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process

*Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience
