Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience spanning Finance transformation, process design, and data/enterprise architecture.
• Deep expertise in core Finance processes such as R2R, O2C, P2P, Treasury, Tax, Performance and Financial Management, and A2M.
• Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale Finance Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and data platforms.
• Ability to bridge Finance and Technology with IT and leadership.

This Position Reports To

Head of Finance Transformation

As Finance Data & Enterprise Architecture Lead, you will shape the target operating model, architecture, and data foundation for a future‑ready Finance function. Working closely with Global Process Owners (GPOs) across R2R, O2C, P2P, Treasury, Tax, Performance and Financial Management and A2M, you will challenge existing ways of working, drive cross‑functional alignment, and design the data and technology foundation needed to transform Finance.

We are looking for an experienced process and data architect with strong Finance expertise who masters Finance processes and operating models, and can translate business needs into scalable data, application, and technology architecture. You will own the data and technology architectural vision and work closely with IT to turn it into reality.

The location is flexible within Europe or Bangalore, India

Your Responsibilities

• Shape the Finance Target Operating Model: Define and evolve the Finance TOM with GPOs, challenging existing processes and aligning standards, data ownership, and dependencies across R2R, O2C, P2P, Treasury, Tax, Performance and Financial Management and A2M.
• Design the Finance Data & Technology Foundation: Define how data and applications work together across the Finance landscape, including ERP (SAP S/4HANA), Consolidation (OneStream), Treasury (Kyriba), Tax, Planning, and other Finance platforms.
• Lead Data Architecture: Architect and drive the Finance Data Lake and broader data landscape, defining data models, flows, integration patterns, and governance to create a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and intelligent automation.
• Drive Standardisation & Integration: Bring GPOs and Finance stakeholders together, resolve cross‑functional dependencies, challenge inconsistencies, and ensure processes, data, and technology evolve towards a coherent target state.
• Turn Vision into Execution: Translate the target operating model and architecture into a pragmatic roadmap, defining priorities, initiatives, resources, and investments. Drive execution hands‑on and ensure delivery stays aligned with the target state.
• Enable Future Finance Capabilities: Establish the architecture and data foundation for advanced analytics, AI/GenAI, intelligent automation, and increasingly integrated and efficient Finance processes. Support future transformation initiatives, including M&A or organizational changes impacting Finance.
• Team Leadership & Delivery: Lead a small core team and orchestrate delivery across a broader network of Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure successful execution of transformation initiatives.

Your Background

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related analytics discipline, combined with deep Finance domain expertise.
• 15+ years of experience spanning Finance transformation, process design, and data/enterprise architecture, ideally in complex, global organizations.
• Deep expertise in core Finance processes such as R2R, O2C, P2P, Treasury, Tax, Performance and Financial Management, and A2M, with the ability to challenge existing processes, identify opportunities for standardisation, and assess the impact of architectural decisions on Finance.
• Proven experience designing and delivering large‑scale Finance Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and data platforms, including data models, data flows, integration, and governance across complex, multi‑system environments.
• Ability to bridge Finance and Technology: engage confidently with Finance leadership and GPOs, challenge business requirements and solution designs, and independently define and direct the architectural solution with IT.
• Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the autonomy and hands‑on mindset to navigate ambiguity and drive transformation. Experience with AI/GenAI, intelligent automation, large‑scale transformation, or M&A is a plus.
