Job summary

ABB is seeking a field-oriented professional to perform thermographic inspections of energized electrical switchgear and related assets. You will collect and report thermal data, coordinate travel, and collaborate with project teams to ensure safe, timely execution across Poland and EU sites.

The role emphasizes strong safety practices, readiness to travel up to 75%, and the ability to work independently in industrial environments while adhering to procedures and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Good command of English; additional European languages are an advantage.
• Technical aptitude and a basic understanding of electrical systems and equipment.
• Experience in thermography, condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, or other diagnostic techniques is a strong asset.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform thermographic inspections of energized electrical switchgear, distribution systems, and other electrical assets at customer sites.
• Collect, analyze, and document thermal images, inspection data, observations, and measurement results; prepare clear and professional reports with findings and recommendations.
• Independently organize and coordinate business travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, local transportation, and site access requirements.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, and technical teams to ensure successful execution of inspection activities, while commercial discussions, project scope definition, and scheduling remain managed by the company.
• Travel extensively to customer facilities across Poland, the European Union, and occasionally other international locations (approximately 75% travel).
