Job summary

Leica Biosystems Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join the North Europe Service Team in Poland, performing installation, preventive maintenance and fault analysis of Histopathology equipment, with high travel and a remote work option.

Fluent Polish and good English are required. You will report to the Field Service Team Leader and collaborate across the service network to ensure excellent after-sales support and device uptime.

Qualifications

• Educated in mechanical, electronic, electrical or biomedical fields.
• Ability to dismantle assemblies and learn complex medical devices.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools like SFDC/Field Service.
• Fluent Polish; good English for technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site installation and maintenance of Histopathology equipment.
• Submit accurate service reports, manage spares stock and documentation.
• Collaborate with Field Support Team to deliver after-sales service meeting KPIs.

A Field Service Engineer for Leica Biosystems is responsible for visiting customers to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, fault analysis, and installation of medical devices. This position reports to the Field Service Team Leader and is part of the North Europe Service Team located in Poland and will be fully remote.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Carry out on site installation and maintenance of various Histopathology and ancillary equipment.
• Deliver accurate reporting, handling and timely submission of Salesforce reports, Expenses, Spares Stock management and other service documentation.
• Work closely with Field Support Team to ensure all customers are provided with an industry leading professional after sales Service within the KPI’s set by Service Management.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

• Educated in a Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical or Biomedical qualification subject or job-related experience related to the role.
• Demonstrate technical ability in mechanical strip down of assemblies and a willingness to learn complex mechanical and electrically controlled medical devices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literate with CRM tools such as SFDC/ Field Service.
• Fluent Polish language in speaking & writing! Communicational English.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

• Ability to travel – 80% of time to be spent in the field including overnight stays when required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift & move up to 20kg safely.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience in field service or a related role such as laboratory technician with a vocational qualification.
