Abbott Vascular is dedicated to advancing patient care by transforming the treatment of vascular disease through medical device innovations, investments in research and development, and physician training and education. We have an industry-leading pipeline and comprehensive portfolio of products for cardiac and vascular care.

We are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to be responsible for the installation, upgrade, repair and preventative maintenance of Vascular capital equipment. Working closely with the central dispatch team as well as sales/clinical colleagues, the Field Service Engineer will be responsible for driving customer satisfaction through service excellence.

This will be a full-time, field-based role requiring regular travelling across assigned territory (Poland + occasional support to Northern Europe).

What You’ll do
  • Hardware/software field support: includes site inspection and preparation, system installation, maintenance, calibration, upgrades, troubleshooting and repair, also includes demo system maintenance and preparation for congresses.
  • Document field service interventions per QA system requirements.
  • Report capital equipment incidents per QA system requirements.
  • Provide support and technical assistance for in-house training courses and congresses.
  • Provide system maintenance and troubleshooting training to customer biomedical engineering departments and Abbott sales and field clinical staff.
  • Extensive national and international travel required based as per business need.
Required qualifications & background
  • A Bachelors degree in biomedical engineering, electronics, engineering or similar is preferred, but relevant experience considered.
  • Prior experience in medical electronics service or related field service is required (medical devices/software based medical systems would be advantageous).
  • Strong electronic and mechanical engineering skills including troubleshooting.
  • Computer skills: MS Office, Linux.
  • Familiarity with Cathlab/operating room procedures/protocols would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to be flexible, respond at short notice to scheduling requirements, work with autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent English and Polish (both written and spoken).
  • Ability to travel (up to 80% of time).
