Job summary

The Gauger role at Core Laboratories Inc. involves performing inspection work at petroleum terminals, refineries, ships and barges. You will sample, measure and supervise quality control of petroleum products in line with API, ISO and Saybolt guidelines.

You will collect samples from cargo tanks, label and transport them to laboratories, record quantities, inspect tank cleanliness and oversee reloding processes while upholding safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Primary or secondary education.
• Experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Valid Category B driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate effectively with third parties on business matters.
• Capability to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples from cargo tanks on ships, shore tanks, and rail cars.
• Label and transport samples to laboratories for analysis.
• Measure and record quantity of goods in shore tanks.
• Inspect rail tankers for cleanliness before loading.
• Oversee the reloading of liquids, bulk goods, and BB counting.
• Supervise weighing of goods on rail and truck scales.
