Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Measurement Engineer II to support the Optical Connectivity business by enabling process testing, inspection, and measurement standardization across global manufacturing sites.

You will apply fiber optic manufacturing knowledge, transfer technology between sites, and develop SOPs and training materials while collaborating with engineering, quality, and operations teams to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Mechanics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in measurements, process engineering, or a related role.
• Strong working knowledge of measurement systems and hardware used in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead measurement system qualification activities across manufacturing sites in the Americas.
• Drive standardization of measurement methods, equipment settings, acceptance criteria, and documentation.
• Plan and execute measurement system analysis, gauge R&R, capability studies, and method correlation.
• Troubleshoot complex measurement- and equipment-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
