Job summary

Zurich Insurance Group in Kraków is seeking a FAR Senior Specialist to perform financial reporting activities for Group reporting and support local, regional, and global projects. You will analyze data, prepare narratives for external reports, and manage posting vouchers.

This 12‑month fixed‑term contract offers exposure to multiple stakeholders, opportunities for process improvements, and development within the Finance, Accounting and Reporting team.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance and accounting is an asset.
• Proficient English language speaker is a must.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience (General Ledger).
• Practical accounting experience in GL, reporting, data analysis area.
• Advanced Excel, Power BI and Power Query knowledge is a plus.
• SAP knowledge is a plus.
• CI mindset and experience in process automation.

Responsibilities

• Assess impact of Master Data changes on SST & SII hierarchy; prepare change requests and test results.
• Review GCoA changes, cross‑check and update FIP and GFC reports.
• Support SST MCBS annual close: data analysis, reports, sign‑off, narratives, and posting of vouchers.
• Support SST quarterly close: AFR estimation, update SST Library, and collaborate on strategic SST & SII projects.

Finance Accounting and Reporting Senior Specialist (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Place of work: Cracow

Job purpose:

To perform financial reporting activities relevant for Group reporting in order to support and reinforce key business objectives. The role gives opportunity to participate in local, regional and global projects and that is why we are seeking a proactive, flexible individual with a “can do” approach.As a dedicated Senior Specialist, you will serve as a supportto your managerand advisor to your colleagues and clients.

Please note that this position is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess impact of Company Master Data changes on SST & SII hierarchy; prepare change requests and test implemented results
• Review of GCoA changes, cross‑check and update FIP (Finance Integrated Platform) and GFC reports
• Support SST MCBS annual close, including:
  Pre close preparation and SST documentation update
  Data analysis on group level (variance analysis)
  Preparation of various reports
  Management of RU sign‑off process
  Preparation of narratives for externally published reports
  Processing and transforming data from different sources into posting vouchers
• Support SST quarterly close, including:
  AFR (Available Financial Resources) estimation based on IFRS numbers
  Maintain and update SST Library SharePoint
  Participate in and support strategic projects related to SST & SII
  Cooperate closely with various stakeholders, e.g. Consolidation, Capital & Risk Modelling teams, Group Actuarial, APG, Rus
  Update process documentation and close memo

Candidate’s profile:

• University degree- finance and accounting (an asset)
• Proficient English language speaker is a must
• At least 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience (General Ledger)
• Practical accounting experience in GL, reporting, data analysis area
• Strong analytical skills, passion for detail, reliability, “can do” approach, goals driven, flexibility
• SAP knowledge is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills
• Power Query and Power BI knowledge is a plus
• Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset and experience in process automation

This role is related to the key area of Zurich’s activity in Kraków.
