Zurich Insurance in Kraków seeks an Accountant to perform key financial accounting and reporting activities in line with IFRS and statutory requirements. You will support GL closing, prepare statements, and help with local, regional and global projects.

• Finance and Accounting, Economy or equivalent academic degree.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
• Solid basics of general accounting and knowledge of general ledger closing processes.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and perform general ledger bookings and account reconciliation.
• Provide Group and external reporting (BS, P&L, supplementary info) per IFRS/GAAP.
• Perform intercompany reconciliation and postings.
• Close activities including interfaces to sub-ledger, statutory entries, FX revaluation, cost allocation.
• Support and collaborate on projects, e.g., Group Chart of Accounts changes.
• Maintain communication with stakeholders (FAR Controllers, actuaries, local accountants).
• Understand ICFR framework and execute controls.
• Support Team Manager and participate in process improvements.

Job purpose:

In this role, you will perform keyfinancialaccounting andreporting activities, ensuring compliance with IFRS, regulatory and statutory requirements. You will prepare financial statements and support general ledger closing activities.

This position offers the opportunity to participate in local, regional and global projects. We are looking for a proactive, flexible individual with a strong “can do” attitude.

As a dedicated accountant, you will support your manager, other FSBene/Nordicsteam members and localNordiccountriesstakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Calculate and perform general ledger bookings and account reconciliation (e.g. calculate deferred income tax, accruals, provisions, pre-payments).

Provide Group and external reporting (BS, P&L, Supplementary information to financial statement) – according to IFRS and other GAAP if needed (e.g. German GAAP, Solvency II).

Performintercompany reconciliation and postings.

Perform various closing activities e.g. maintain interfaces to Sub ledger, postingstatutoryadjustingentries, performingstatutoryanalysis and filings, FX revaluation, regrouping and cost allocation cycles (depends on BusinessUnit).

Support and collaborate on projects, such as analyzing and implementing Group Chart of Accounts changes.

Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including FAR Controllers,actuariesandlocalaccountants.

Understand the ICFR Financial Statement framework, execute controls.

Provide support to the Team Manager.

Actively participate in and collaborate on process improvement projects.

Candidate’s profile:

Finance and Accounting, Economy or equivalent academic degree.

This role is related to the key area of Zurich’s activity in Kraków.
