Job summary

Slate is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Planner – CMMS to plan and schedule building-system maintenance using our CMMS, coordinate resources, and ensure safety and compliance. The role supports preventive, corrective, and predictive programs to boost asset reliability and minimize downtime.

You will administer CMMS data, document work orders, and support standardization, reporting, and continuous improvement across the facilities team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
• Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or facilities maintenance operations.
• Working knowledge of CMMS platforms and maintenance workflows.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and effective written/verbal communication.
• Experience with digital reporting systems and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and schedule maintenance work orders in the CMMS for facilities and building systems.
• Coordinate labor, materials, tools, and external resources to ensure effective execution of maintenance activities.
• Work with maintenance supervisors, technicians, and facilities leadership to align schedules with operations.
• Monitor backlog and schedule compliance; recommend adjustments as needed.
• Develop, review, and optimize preventive maintenance plans with engineers and vendors.
• Track PM completion rates and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness.
