Job summary

DCG Poland is expanding its backend team in Warsaw and seeks a senior Java developer to shape scalable microservices in the payments domain.

You will collaborate in a Scrum team, work with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and modern databases, while ensuring high availability and throughput.

Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Java software development.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Relational databases experience incl. PostgreSQL and Db2.
• Experience with AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Develop new services and solutions within the embedded banking service domain (Payments Service Area)
• Build and maintain Java-based microservices
• Contribute to distributed, highly available, and high-throughput applications
• Collaborate within a newly created Scrum team
• Work closely with experienced team members to deliver backend solutions

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Java software development
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Practical experience with relational databases including PostgreSQL and/or Db2
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
• Ability to develop distributed, highly available, and high-throughput applications
• Fluent spoken and written English

Nice to have:

• Experience with Kafka
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with REST APIs
• Familiarity with Maven and JUnit
• Understanding of Specification-Driven Development (SDD) and SDD frameworks
