Job summary

PwC Polska is seeking an Experienced Team Leader to manage a 10–15 accountant team delivering finance operations (AP/AR/GL) across domestic and international clients. You will drive performance against SLAs, plan workloads, recruit and develop talent, and promote compliance and best practices in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

You will leverage ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), lean methodologies, and AI-based tools to optimize processes, automate tasks, and enhance reporting.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in finance operations (AP/AR/GL) or related accounting processes.
  • 3–5+ years of experience leading teams (people management, performance management, coaching).
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and process improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma).
  • Strong proficiency in using new technologies and AI‑based tools in daily work (e.g., task automation, information analysis, content creation).

Responsibilities

  • Lead day‑to‑day operations for AP/AR/GL processes and ensure timely, accurate delivery against SLAs/KPIs.
  • Plan and allocate work effectively to ensure optimal resource utilization and balanced workload.
  • Set clear targets, track performance, address risks early, and elevate blockers impacting service delivery.
  • Manage and develop team members through regular 1:1s, coaching, goal setting, and performance reviews.
  • Provide clear, timely feedback on behavior, performance, and quality of deliverables; address underperformance when needed.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention in cooperation with HR/Talent Acquisition.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls; promote a strong compliance mindset.
  • Drive consistent application of best practices and standard ways of working.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and clients; present operational status, risks, and improvement proposals.
  • Identify improvement opportunities (process, tools, automation) and support implementation with other Team Leaders/SMEs.
  • Coaching and motivating the team.
  • Fostering high performing culture and PwC values.

Enterprise Managed Services (EMS) in PwC Poland is rapidly expanding as part of the Managed Services Operations. You can play an important role in supporting and transforming the operations of our domestic and international clients. We continuously enhance our operations by applying best practices, streamlining processes, and integrating cutting‑edge technological solutions for our customers. Join us in shaping and transforming operations for our domestic and international clients, as we delve into diverse, complex projects and collaborate closely with expert consulting teams to provide comprehensive finance services, including accounting and reporting, tax as well as financial planning & analysis, across various sectors in the region.

As a Team Leader, you will manage a team of 10–15 accountants delivering finance operations services (AP/AR/GL). You will ensure high performance against SLA and quality targets, develop people, and drive continuous improvement in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment.

We are looking for:

Your future role:
  • Lead day‑to‑day operations for AP/AR/GL processes and ensure timely, accurate delivery against agreed SLAs/KPIs (e.g., timeliness, backlog, accuracy, month‑end closing deadlines).
  • Plan and allocate work effectively to ensure optimal resource utilization and balanced workload across the team.
  • Set clear targets, track performance, address risks early, and elevate blockers impacting service delivery.
  • Manage and develop team members through regular 1:1s, coaching, goal setting, and performance reviews.
  • Provide clear, timely feedback on behavior, performance, and quality of deliverables; address underperformance when needed.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention in cooperation with HR/Talent Acquisition.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls; promote a strong compliance mindset.
  • Drive consistent application of best practices and standard ways of working.

Apply if you have:
  • 7+ years of experience in finance operations (AP/AR/GL) or related accounting processes.
  • 3–5+ years of experience leading teams (people management, performance management, coaching).
  • Strong organizational skills, prioritization, and ability to manage deadlines in a KPI‑driven environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including client communication.
  • University degree in finance/accounting/economics (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle) and process improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma).
  • Strong proficiency in using new technologies and AI‑based tools in your daily work (e.g., task automation, information analysis, content creation).
