Job summary

The Metropolitan School District of Washington Township (MSDWT) is inviting applications for the Elementary Custodian (Second shift) position. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and involves cleaning classrooms, corridors, restrooms, and exterior areas across Allisonville and Fox Hill Elementary schools.

Work hours are 1:30pm-10:00pm or 10:00am-6:30pm, Monday through Friday. Starting July 1, 2026, pay is $17.00 per hour with optional post-secondary education incentives and

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, administrators and staff.
Candidate must be able to perform physically demanding custodial tasks.

Responsibilities

Keep buildings and surroundings clean and safe; maintain sidewalks, driveways and play areas.
Shovel, plow and sand walkways and parking areas as needed.
Sweep, vacuum, dust classrooms and clean restrooms daily.
Clean corridors after school and as needed; wash windows twice yearly.
Report repairs to Building Foreman and secure building at day end.
Move furniture/equipment as required for activities; assist with yard work when needed.
