Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Regional Quality Manager to lead and shape the quality strategy across Europe. You will drive quality performance across manufacturing operations for transformers, insulation & components, and other lines, partnering with factory leaders to deliver sustainable improvements.

You will lead regional teams, translate business strategy into execution, and elevate quality as a competitive advantage through disciplined governance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, Operations, or related discipline.
• Significant leadership experience in complex manufacturing/engineering environments.
• Proven track record leading teams and improving business performance through quality and operations excellence.
• Strong understanding of quality methodologies and continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Experience influencing factory leadership in matrix organizations.
• Ability to translate strategy into practical execution plans and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Define and deploy regional Quality strategy aligned with Hitachi Energy priorities.
• Translate objectives into actionable, measurable plans delivering business outcomes.
• Lead and develop Quality teams across multiple product lines and locations.
• Collaborate with factory leadership to improve operational performance and customer satisfaction.
• Promote a culture of accountability, proactive problem solving, and governance across the region.
• Monitor performance trends with data-driven insights to identify risks and improvement priorities.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives addressing recurring business challenges and drive operational excellence.
• Champion Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support resolution of critical quality and customer issues with structured follow-up and corrective actions.
• Act as trusted advisor to business leaders balancing strategic thinking with execution.
