Job summary

Smith+Nephew is seeking an IT Director to lead the ERP Solution Centre of Excellence and drive the strategic transition to SAP S/4HANA. You will set ERP direction, governance and delivery across the enterprise while leading a global team of SAP and Axapta consultants.

The role requires deep ERP expertise, strong commercial judgement, inclusive leadership, and the ability to translate strategy into practical roadmaps. Hybrid working model and generous benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT and ERP experience, ideally within MedTech or related industries.
• Experience leading SAP programmes, portfolios or Centres of Excellence, with two completed ERP implementations or transformations.
• Broad knowledge across SAP domains (Sales & Distribution, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance).
• Proven ability to lead global teams, develop talent, manage partners and influence senior stakeholders on investments.

Responsibilities

• Set the direction for ERP strategy, governance, and delivery across the enterprise.
• Lead a global team of SAP and Axapta experts, build capabilities and partnerships.
• Guide investment decisions and ensure alignment with architecture, security, data and regulatory standards.
• Act as trusted adviser to senior business and IT stakeholders, balancing priorities and driving transformation.
