Job summary

Cthings is seeking a Junior Embedded Software Developer to join our embedded systems team. You will work on software for connected devices and Edge IoT Gateways across industries, contributing to microcontroller firmware, embedded applications, testing tools, or OrchestraOS.

You will grow with experienced engineers and learn our development practices, tooling, and CI processes while building robust, well-documented software.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C, Python and Bash.
• Solid understanding of core programming concepts and debugging.
• Basic knowledge of embedded systems and hardware interaction.
• Experience with Linux as a development environment.
• Proficient with Git as a version control system.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software under guidance.
• Implement features, fix bugs, improve existing code.
• Investigate software/hardware integration issues with logs, debuggers, test equipment.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and hardware tests.
• Participate in code reviews and team planning.
• Create clear technical documentation for features and processes.
• Learn and follow good software development, testing, and security practices.
