Job summary

Microamp Solutions is seeking a Junior/Mid Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to 5G mmWave Radio Unit software. You will develop features on ARM-based platforms and collaborate across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Telecommunications/CS or related field.
• 1+ year of embedded development experience.
• Proficient in Python.
• Experience with embedded systems architecture and software development.
• Experience with microcontrollers and SoCs.
• Familiarity with system-level design and integration.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Develop new functionalities for 5G mmWave systems based on ARM architecture.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure timely delivery.
• Participate in project planning and reviews.
• Develop and implement testing procedures for software and Linux distributions.
• Work with 3GPP, ETSI, OpenRAN standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems.

We are looking for a Junior/Mid Embedded Software Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to the implementation of functionalities for the 5G mmWave Radio Unit.

Responsibilities

• Development of new functionalities for 5G mmWave communication systems based on ARM architecture,

• Collaborating with other engineers and project managers to ensure timely and successful project completion,

• Participating in project planning and review meetings,

• Developing and implementing testing procedures to ensure quality control and reliability of software and Linux distributions,

• Working with technical specifications and standards (3GPP, ETSI, OpenRAN),

• Troubleshooting and debugging embedded systems.

• At least bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Telecommunications/Computer science or related scientific field,

• At least 1 year of experience as embedded developer or a related position,

• Proficiency in Python,

• Experience in embedded systems architecture and software development,

• Experience with microcontrollers and SoCs,

• Familiarity with system-level design and integration,

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills,

• Effective communication and teamwork skills,

• Good English skills (spoken and written).

Good to have

• Familiarity with C/C++,

• Experience in AMD Xilinx SoC (MPSoC/RFSoC),

• Experience with bare-metal programming,

• CI/CD and GIT,

• Experience with Linux build systems (PetaLinux, Yocto or similar),

• Experience in kernel’s driver development,

• Knowledge of LTE/5G stack and standards.
