Job summary

Norconsult Poland, part of the Nordic Norconsult Group, invites an Engineering Team Manager to lead the Extended Engineering Team in Poland, delivering Danish-market projects and shaping cross-border collaboration. You will combine hands-on engineering with people development, coordinate with Denmark, recruit, onboard, mentor, and ensure high-quality design across structural and/or electrical disciplines.

Qualifications

• MSc or BSc in Structural or Electrical Engineering.
• Approximately 10 years of experience in engineering consultancy, construction, infrastructure, or related sectors.
• Strong leadership and people-management experience.
• Excellent English written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to delivery of engineering projects for the Danish market, providing structural and/or electrical engineering expertise with high technical quality.
• Act as a trusted partner to Danish project teams, aligning technical solutions with project and client needs.
• Build, develop, and lead Norconsult's Extended Engineering Team in Poland, owning recruitment, onboarding, and staff development.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture and effective cross-border cooperation.
• Collaborate with Danish stakeholders on capacity planning, resource allocation, and long-term development of engineering capabilities in Poland.
• Serve as a key link between Norconsult Denmark and Poland, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams.
• Contribute to ongoing development of engineering standards, processes, and ways of working to support scalable cross-border operations.

Engineering Team Manager

As an Engineering Team Manager, you will combine hands-on engineering work with the responsibility of building and developing Norconsult's Extended Engineering Team in Poland. Working closely with colleagues in Denmark, you will contribute to the delivery of complex engineering projects while helping shape the future collaboration model between Norconsult Poland and Norconsult Denmark. This is a unique opportunity to take an active role in both project delivery and team development while contributing to the growth of an international engineering organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the delivery of engineering projects for the Danish market, providing structural and/or electrical engineering expertise while ensuring high technical quality, efficient execution, and successful project outcomes.
• Act as a trusted partner to Danish project teams, working closely with project managers, engineers, and specialists to align technical solutions with project and client needs.
• Build, develop, and lead Norconsult's Extended Engineering Team in Poland, taking ownership of recruitment, onboarding, employee development, engagement, and retention activities.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture that supports effective cooperation, accountability, and knowledge sharing.
• Work closely with Danish stakeholders on capacity planning, resource allocation, and the long-term development of engineering capabilities in Poland, ensuring the organization is well-positioned to support future business needs.
• Act as a key link between Norconsult Denmark and Poland, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and cooperation across teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuous development of engineering standards, processes, and ways of working, helping establish an efficient, scalable, and integrated cross-border operating model.

Requirements

• MSc or BSc degree in Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Approximately 10 years of experience within engineering consultancy, construction, infrastructure, building design, or related sectors.
• Strong technical expertise in structural and/or electrical engineering and experience working on multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Previous experience in team leadership, project management, or a similar role involving people management and coordination responsibilities.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams, disciplines, and cultures.
• Commercial awareness and a solid understanding of business drivers, client expectations, and project delivery requirements.
• Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented approach, combined with the ability to balance operational priorities with long-term development goals.
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.

• Familiarity with Danish or Nordic projects, clients, or engineering standards.
