Job summary

Norconsult Polska Sp. z o.o. in Kraków is seeking an Engineering Team Manager to lead and grow the Extended Engineering Team supporting Danish projects. You will coordinate cross‑border delivery, recruit and develop engineers, and ensure high technical quality across structural and electrical engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• MSc or BSc in Structural or Electrical Engineering.
• Approximately 10 years of experience in engineering consultancy, construction, infrastructure, or building design.
• Strong technical expertise in structural and/or electrical engineering.
• Experience leading teams, managing projects, and coordinating people.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-cultural collaboration.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Nice to have: recruiting/developing engineers; international environment; Nordic projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the delivery of engineering projects for the Danish market, providing structural and/or electrical engineering expertise with high quality.
• Act as a trusted partner to Danish project teams, aligning technical solutions with project and client needs.
• Build, develop, and lead Norconsult's Extended Engineering Team in Poland, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and development.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture with accountability and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Danish stakeholders on capacity planning, resource allocation, and long-term capability development in Poland.
• Serve as a key link between Norconsult Denmark and Poland, ensuring effective communication across teams.
• Contribute to evolving engineering standards, processes, and cross-border operating models.

Engineering Team Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the delivery of engineering projects for the Danish market, providing structural and/or electrical engineering expertise while ensuring high technical quality, efficient execution, and successful project outcomes.
• Act as a trusted partner to Danish project teams, working closely with project managers, engineers, and specialists to align technical solutions with project and client needs.
• Build, develop, and lead Norconsult's Extended Engineering Team in Poland, taking ownership of recruitment, onboarding, employee development, engagement, and retention activities.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture that supports effective cooperation, accountability, and knowledge sharing.
• Work closely with Danish stakeholders on capacity planning, resource allocation, and the long-term development of engineering capabilities in Poland, ensuring the organization is well-positioned to support future business needs.
• Act as a key link between Norconsult Denmark and Poland, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and cooperation across teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuous development of engineering standards, processes, and ways of working, helping establish an efficient, scalable, and integrated cross-border operating model.

Requirements

• MSc or BSc degree in Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Approximately 10 years of experience within engineering consultancy, construction, infrastructure, building design, or related sectors.
• Strong technical expertise in structural and/or electrical engineering and experience working on multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Previous experience in team leadership, project management, or a similar role involving people management and coordination responsibilities.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams, disciplines, and cultures.
• Commercial awareness and a solid understanding of business drivers, client expectations, and project delivery requirements.
• Proactive, hands‑on, and solution-oriented approach, combined with the ability to balance operational priorities with long‑term development goals.
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.

• Experience recruiting and developing engineering professionals.
• Experience working in an international environment or collaborating with remote teams.
• Familiarity with Danish or Nordic projects, clients, or engineering standards.
