Job summary

Egnyte is seeking an Engineering Manager in Poznań, Poland to lead a distributed team of engineers focused on a secure multi-cloud content platform. You will drive technical excellence, scale, and reliable delivery of business-critical features, shaping the roadmap with product management and UX and mentoring engineers to grow.

You will stay hands-on, guide architecture decisions, integrate AI-enabled capabilities, and foster a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.

You will be joining a team behind Egnyte’s central file repository and the web experience for managing files, with specialised features including but not limited to AEC, Life Sciences and Financial Services industries. As Engineering Manager you will lead a team of experienced engineers, driving technical excellence, scalability and reliable delivery of business-critical features.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Lead and grow your team: set engineers up for success, run evaluations and growth plans, give the team the business context behind its work, and set up and improve team-specific processes. Success looks like engineers who grow, deliver predictably, and know why their work matters.
• Deliver a high-scale product on time: own your team’s roadmap together with product management and UX, own technical debt, keep the product scalable and aligned with world-class standards, and bring innovation into Egnyte’s architecture and culture. Success looks like features delivered on their committed dates, at the quality customers expect, without trading away scalability.
• Stay hands-on: lead from the front, and provide technical input and direction on system designs.
• AI mastery: Leverage newest AI related skills and tools to provide high level support for the team and executing individual projects.
• Keep the platform running well: ensure high-quality operation of Egnyte’s platform and drive a strong culture of continuous learning.
• Be part of Egnyte’s leadership team: drive global initiatives, strengthen Egnyte culture, raise our standards, and influence the work environment.
• Works regularly with: product management, UX, QA, and the platform, DevOps and SRE teams, so that the roadmap is delivered and operated reliably.
• Workplace: hybrid, working from the Poznań office at least 3 days a week.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience leading distributed teams.
• Experience building and operating large-scale, mission-critical, multi-tenant SaaS products in the cloud, with a strong understanding of cloud platforms (GCP, Azure or AWS).
• Background in Java (mandatory) and hands‑on ability to understand and contribute to system designs.
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration in software products, including working with LLMs, AI‑powered features, or data pipelines that support intelligent services.
• Solid communication skills, including strong written and spoken English.
