Job summary

BYD Energy Storage is seeking Energy Storage Field Service Engineers to cover various energy storage sites in Poland's North-East region. You will report to the EU ESS aftersales regional Manager and perform on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of BYD energy storage units across client locations in Poland.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related fields, with 3+ years in power or HV systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields.
• Relevant electrical or high voltage operation certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, repair, and maintain energy storage systems on site.
• Address on-site technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Provide technical support to customers and deliver necessary training.
• Collaborate with technical support and R&D to feedback field issues and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety standards during on-site work.

About The Role

This role is responsible for reporting to the EU ESS aftersales regional Manager. The Field Service Engineer will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and warranty repairs along with commissioning activities on BYD energy storage units across various client locations within the Poland

This role is responsible for reporting to the EU ESS aftersales regional Manager. The Field Service Engineer will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and warranty repairs along with commissioning activities on BYD energy storage units across various client locations within the Poland

Tasks & Typical duties/responsibilities:

• Responsible for the installation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of energy storage systems on site.
• Address technical issues on-site in a timely manner to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
• Provide technical support to customers, answer questions about the equipment, and deliver necessary training.
• Collaborate closely with the technical support team and R&D department to feedback on-field issues and suggest improvements.
• Continuously follow up on customer after-sales service requirements to improve customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and company safety standards when performing any on-site work.

Requirements

Education Requirements:

• Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields.
• Relevant electrical or high voltage operation certifications are preferred.

Experience Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in the power industry or with high/low voltage systems, with preference for those with energy storage experience.
• Hands-on experience with equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance, preferably familiar with energy storage systems.

Language Requirements:

• Fluent in Polish, with working proficiency in English.

Skills Requirements:

• Solid understanding of electrical systems, particularly energy storage systems and their principles
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, capable of working in high/low voltage environments.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, able to work efficiently under pressure.
