Job summary

ABB Marine & Ports zoekt een ervaren leider voor digitale oplossingen die leiding geeft aan een team dat digitale toepassingen levert voor klanten. U werkt nauw samen met klanten en interne stakeholders om ideeën om te zetten in praktische toepassingen die productiviteit en prestaties verhogen.

U doorloopt de gehele klantreis van behoefteonderzoek tot adoptie en implementatie, met samenwerking over Sales, Product Management, Software Development en Solution Architecture om succesvolle uitkomsten

Qualifications

• 10+ jaar ervaring in digitale oplossingsengineering of software engineering en gerelateerde velden.
• Bewezen leiderschap en personeelsbeheerervaring.
• Sterke expertise in digitale oplossingen en software engineering.
• Ervaring in klantgerichte levering van oplossingen, inclusief demonstraties en implementatie.
• Sterke project- en stakeholder-managementvaardigheden.
• Ervaring in industriële automatisering of digitale transformatie.
• Sterke commerciële en strategische mindset en klantwaarde-focus.
• Bachelor’s of Master’s degree in CS/Software/Systems Engineering, gecombineerd met uitstekende Engelse communicatie.

Responsibilities

• Leiden en ontwikkelen van het innovatie- en digitaal oplossings-engineeringteam.
• Zuivelcoöperatieve samenwerking met klanten om nieuwe kansen te identificeren.
• Leiden van end-to-end levering van digitale oplossingen van ontdekking tot adoptie.
• Verlenen van technische en consultatieve expertise om klantbehoeften te vertalen.
• Beheren van technische sales ondersteuning in nauwe samenwerking met Sales.
• Zorgen voor succesvolle implementatie en adoptie via configuratie, testen en training.
• Bevorderen van continue verbetering en productinnovatie.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will lead a team focused on delivering digital solutions that make a real difference for our customers. Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, you will help turn ideas into practical applications that improve productivity, efficiency, and business performance.

You will be involved throughout the entire customer journey, from understanding business needs and shaping solutions to implementation, adoption, and ongoing support. The role offers the opportunity to collaborate with teams across Sales, Product Management, Software Development, and Solution Architecture to ensure successful outcomes for our customers.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

Work location: Poland, Krakow.

This role is contributing to the Marine&Ports division, Service and Digital business area.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Leading and developing the innovation and digital solution engineering team, fostering a customer-focused, collaborative, and high-performing culture.
• Co-innovating with customers to identify new opportunities and develop innovative digital applications that increase the value of the overall digital portfolio.
• Leading the end-to-end delivery of digital solutions, from discovery, solution design, and proof of concept through implementation, onboarding, go-live, and ongoing support.
• Providing technical and consultative expertise to understand customer needs, define solutions, and demonstrate how digital technologies can improve productivity, efficiency, and business performance.
• Managing technical sales support in close collaboration with Sales, including solution demonstrations, value engineering, and translating customer needs into effective digital solutions.
• Ensuring successful implementation and adoption through effective configuration, testing, troubleshooting, training, and change management.
• Driving continuous improvement and product innovation by contributing customer insights and market needs to the digital product roadmap, features, and solution development.
• Building strong collaboration and customer relationships with Sales, Product Management, Software Development, Solution Architecture, and customers to ensure successful delivery, satisfaction, growth, and long-term adoption.

Qualifications for the role

• 10+ years of experience in digital solution engineering, software engineering, or a related field, with experience delivering enterprise digital solutions to customers.
• Proven leadership and people management experience, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong expertise in digital solutions and software engineering, including enterprise platforms, software development methodologies, and digital architectures.
• Experience in customer-facing solution delivery, including requirements gathering, solution design, demonstrations, proof of concepts, implementation, and adoption.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage complex initiatives, priorities, resources, timelines, and budgets.
• Experience in industrial automation, digital transformation, or a related technology market, with a strong understanding of customer business needs and industry trends.
• Strong commercial and strategic mindset, with a passion for innovation, customer value, continuous improvement, and digital business excellence.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, combined with excellent communication skills in English
